Contributor Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

We are committed to fostering an open and welcoming environment where everyone, regardless of their background or experience, can contribute positively. We pledge to make participation in our project a respectful, harassment-free experience for all.

Our Standards

We encourage behaviors that contribute to a positive environment and discourage behaviors that are unwelcoming. Examples include:

Positive Behaviors

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness to others.
  • Respectfully considering differing viewpoints and experiences.
  • Providing and gracefully accepting constructive feedback.
  • Focusing on what is best for the community.
  • Showing appreciation for contributions and constructive criticism.

Unacceptable Behaviors

  • Use of sexualized language or imagery, or unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
  • Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
  • Public or private harassment.
  • Publishing others' private information, such as physical or electronic addresses, without explicit permission.
  • Any other conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Our Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for upholding this code of conduct. They will take appropriate and fair action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior. Maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that do not align with this Code of Conduct.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces, including GitHub issues, pull requests, discussions, and any other form of communication related to the Detoxify project. It also applies to public spaces when an individual is representing the project or its community.

Reporting Issues

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to the project team at Email. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly. We are committed to respecting the privacy and security of the reporter of any incident.

Enforcement

Project maintainers who do not follow or enforce the Code of Conduct in good faith may face temporary or permanent repercussions as determined by other members of the project’s leadership.

Acknowledgement

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
