Describe the bug

Im currently on the most recent version on Windows 11 Pro (24H2). However, I have ran into this issue before, I think it was a few months back an had to do a fresh install. I absolutely love Christ Titus Tech and WinUtil as its one of the best services and Repos for windows users out there. However, after countless hours and looking into other similar issues, there is nothing that I can do to get my Voice Access to work again after running WinUtil.

I desperately need help and way to resolve this issue. I have been working on trying to solve this for the last two days and I'm going crazy. I use my Voice Access a ton, especially when I'm working on my AI prompts as after a while my hands start to hurt from the typing. its great all around to take some strain off my hands.

To Reproduce

  • Enable Voice Access.
  • -Click on Microphone that's on the left hand side on the top on my main screen.
  • Once I click the Microphone where it says "Microphone off" it tries to start but in the middle of the voice access bar it says "We have encountered and error in Speech Recognition Services. Please try again. Error Code: 2001

Expected behavior

There should be no issue, when I turn the microphone on it should allow me to talk into my Elgato WaveLink and produce text. Speech to text should be no issue. I Should be able to mute the microphone and I should be able to

Additional context

Ive seen some other people that have had this issue, tried following their suggestions for a resolution and nothing has worked. I will not that those issues were over a year old so there may have been changes in that time and im not sure what version of windows they were on.

I would sincerely appreciate the help from anyone as soon as possible. I'm happy to buy someone a coffee for the efforts.

+1 to this issue. So far my only recourse has been to close and restart Voice Access.

It would be helpful to understand what feature or box we need to ensure is not selected if we want to keep access to features like voice access. Can someone at least provide me with that information?

Is there anyone that can help with this or maybe another issue that someone can point me towards that addresses this issue?
